Pushover for urgent alerts

With the Pushover node, alerts arrive via the Pushover app on your phone, tablet and computer. The difference to browser push: with the Urgent level, Pushover repeats the alert every minute until you acknowledge it in the app, and on iPhone it gets through “Do Not Disturb”. That way you do not miss a price crash at night, without calls or text messages. Pushover comes with the Pro plan and up.

Setup

1. Install the Pushover app on your phone (App Store, Google Play) and create an account there. After a 30-day trial, Pushover costs a one-time fee of about $5 per platform, for example once for iPhone and once for your computer.

2. Log in at pushover.net. Your user key is shown at the top, 30 characters.

3. Drag the Pushover node onto the board in the editor, connect it like any action and enter the user key.

4. Pick the level and activate the chain.

For a Pushover group (several people get the same alert), enter the group key instead of your user key.

Levels

High	highlighted and with sound, even during the app’s quiet hours
Urgent	repeats every minute until you acknowledge, for at most an hour; gets through “Do Not Disturb” on iPhone

“Urgent” fits alerts you must not miss. So that they do not wake you at night for trifles, pair them with a careful condition and a cooldown, such as “at most every 4 hours”.

What the alert shows

• Title: the chain’s name.
• Text: your message, the values when it fired, below them pair, timeframe and time.
• Links: “Chart” opens the pair’s chart, “Open on the exchange” the trading page of the exchange you picked in the candle. Below that “Open chain”.
• Scanner: if several coins of a scanner fire at the same candle, one message lists them all, one line per coin, as many as fit; “View alerts” opens Alerts filtered to the scanner. “Emergency” repeats this one message.

**bold** and _italic_ from your message also work in Pushover.

Note

Bellchain sends all Pushover alerts through its own application at Pushover. Your user key stays empty when you export a chain; the history shows only a short fingerprint, never the key itself. Anyone who knows your key can message you through their own Pushover applications, so do not share it.

If nothing arrives

Common reasons:

• Key invalid: the user key has a typo or the Pushover account was deleted. Copy it again from pushover.net.
• Monthly quota used up: Pushover limits how many messages Bellchain may send per month. This is rare; Bellchain then buys more. Until then your alerts arrive through your other channels.
