BTC Volatility Regime
Alerts when BTC’s 30-day volatility is as high (▲) or as low (▼) as on hardly any day in the past year.

Phases of large and small swings alternate, and many rules only suit one of them. Historical volatility measures the swings of the last 30 daily closes, the percent rank compares them with the 365 days before: above 90 they are larger than on 90 % of those days, below 10 smaller than on 90 %. For BTC that matched about 60 % and 30 % volatility over the past three years. Because the rank only compares each coin with itself, the rule works the same for every coin. Enter your system’s https address in both webhook nodes; without it the chain cannot be activated.

Adapting it
Section titled “Adapting it”- Fixed thresholds work too: “Calm below” 30 and “Volatile above” 60 on the historical volatility, without the percent rank.
- Percent rank 180 instead of 365 compares with half a year and spots new phases sooner.
- With Trader the replay covers 365 days, so you see how often the regime changes in a year.
In the test
Section titled “In the test”Replay with the sample prices up to October 17, 2026: 1 alert in 90 days. With live prices the number differs. With Free the replay covers 15 days, with Pro and during the trial 90 days.
Needs Trader to be activated, because of Webhook. You can test it in the replay on any plan. More under Plans.
