Signals to trading bots

With the Trading bot node, an alert turns into a signal to your own bot within seconds, in the format it expects. Your bot trades, Bellchain never does: Bellchain knows no credentials of your exchange, suggests no amounts and gives no investment advice. Whether and how much is traded is up to you, in the bot and in the action. Trading bots come with the Trader plan and up.

  • Direction: buy or long, sell or short, or close the position. For entry and exit, add two actions, each on its own condition.
  • Amount and unit: in the quote currency (such as 100 USDT), in percent of the balance or in the base currency (such as 0.01 BTC). 0 means: as set in the bot.
  • Pair and price come from the chain’s candle.
  • Test alerts do not go to the bot. Instead, Bellchain records in the history what would have been sent, without your code. Under “More” you can change that for paper accounts.
  • Retries only when nothing can have arrived: on 429, 503 and connection errors before sending, for at most two minutes. If a connection breaks while sending, Bellchain does not retry, because the bot may already have placed the order; check the bot in that case.
  • Sender: Bellchain sends over IPv4 from the address 199.247.20.255. Bots that only accept listed senders need this address. If it changes, the changelog says so.
  • Muting does not apply to bots, as with webhooks.
  1. In 3Commas, create a Signal Bot and pick API request (own server) as the start condition.

  2. Under Settings → Bot Server IP, add the address 199.247.20.255.

  3. Copy the code for each action from 3Commas, such as the one for “Enter Long” and the one for “Exit”.

  4. Drag the Trading bot node onto the board in the editor, pick 3Commas, enter https://3c.wtalerts.com/bot/custom as the URL and the code in the Code field.

  5. For an entry: direction Buy / long and an amount with its unit. For the exit, add a second action with Close position and the exit code.

Bellchain sends {"code": "…", "orderType": "market", "amountPerTradeType": "quote", "amountPerTrade": 100}, for the exit only the code. Add more fields such as take profit or stop loss in the Content field under “More” (see Custom format).

Like 3Commas, with the same technology: signal bot with the start condition API request, add the IP 199.247.20.255, URL https://wtalerts.com/bot/custom, and the code of the respective action in the Code field.

  1. In TradersPost, copy your strategy’s webhook URL. The secret is part of the URL; leave the Code field empty.

  2. Pick TradersPost in the node and enter the URL. The direction is sent as buy, sell or exit, the pair as BTCUSDT.

Bellchain sends {"ticker": "BTCUSDT", "action": "buy", "price": 117234, "time": "…"} and, if you set an amount, quantity and quantityType. Without an amount, the strategy’s settings apply.

Copy the webhook URL from Alertatron and write the command into the Code field, for example:

MyKeys(BTCUSDT) { market(side=buy, amount=10%); } #bot

MyKeys is the name of your API keys in Alertatron. You may use placeholders such as {{symbol}} in the command. Bellchain sends {"message": "<command>"}.

Enter the URL of your OctoBot webhook (own server or OctoBot Cloud) and the token in the Code field. Bellchain sends text such as EXCHANGE=…;SYMBOL=BTCUSDT;SIGNAL=BUY;TOKEN=…; the exchange comes from the candle, an amount in the base currency or in percent as VOLUME.

For any other bot, pick Custom format and write the content under “More”: JSON (starts with { or [) or text. Content also replaces the template of the other bots.

Placeholder Example
{{token}} your code from the Code field
{{action}}, {{ACTION}} buy, sell, exit, or upper case
{{symbol}} BTCUSDT
{{pair}}, {{base}}, {{quote}} BTC/USDT, BTC, USDT
{{exchange}} the exchange’s ID from the candle
{{price}} 117234, null without a price
{{time}}, {{timestamp}} 2026-10-17T12:00:00.000Z, 1792238400
{{amount}}, {{amount_type}} 100, quote
{{chain}}, {{message}}, {{id}} chain name, message, alert ID

In JSON, Bellchain inserts texts escaped; write the quotes yourself, numbers without:

{ "secret": "{{token}}", "side": "{{action}}", "symbol": "{{symbol}}", "price": {{price}}, "id": "{{id}}" }

If the content is not valid JSON, nothing is sent, and the history shows the alert as not delivered.
