Pushover

urgent · at most every 4 h

This is how the node looks on the board: inputs on the left. As an action it sits at the end of the chain.

Push via Pushover, urgent if needed. Sends the alert via the Pushover app to your phone, tablet and computer. With the “Urgent” level, Pushover repeats it every minute until you acknowledge it, for at most an hour, and on iPhone it gets through “Do Not Disturb”. That way you miss nothing, without calls or text messages. You need the Pushover app (after a 30-day trial a one-time fee of about $5 per platform) and enter your user key here. Pushover comes with the Pro plan and up. Example: “Price below 80,000” into Pushover with “Urgent”, and your phone keeps alerting you until you react.

The alert comes when the trigger switches from false to true. If it stays true, no second one comes. If it switches again during the cooldown, Bellchain holds the alert back (circle); the replay counts such cases as “held back by the cooldown”.

Settings

The settings appear on the right under “Properties” once you click the node on the board. Below each field you find the same explanation as here.

User key

Default: empty · any text, at most 30 characters, must be filled in before activating, empty when you export a chain

Your user key is shown at the top of pushover.net after you log in, 30 characters. For a group, use its group key. It stays empty when you export the chain.

Level

Default: Normal

How loud the alert is. “Urgent” is for alerts you must not miss, such as a price crash at night.

• Quiet: No sound or vibration, only in the app’s list.
• Normal (default): With sound, as set in the app.
• High: Highlighted and with sound, even during the app’s quiet hours.
• Urgent: Repeats every minute until you acknowledge in Pushover, for at most an hour; gets through “Do Not Disturb” on iPhone.

At most every … hours

Default: 4 h · from 0 to 168 h

Cooldown: after an alert the action waits at least this long before the next one. 4 hours suit most chains. 0 means an alert every time the condition turns true.

Message

Default: {{chain}}: {{values}} · any text, at most 1,000 characters, multi-line

The alert text. {{chain}} inserts the chain’s name, {{values}} the values of the nodes, {{price}} the price; there are also {{pair}}, {{coin}} and {{time}}. Use **bold**, _italic_ and `code` to highlight text. If a message template is connected to the Message input, its text is used instead.

Example

Sends the alert as “Urgent” to the Pushover app: it repeats every minute until you acknowledge it (Pro plan).

How to connect the nodes:

3. Compare (true/false) → Pushover (Trigger)

On the board it reads: urgent · at most every 4 h

Technical details

POST to api.pushover.net with Bellchain’s app token and your user key, priority −1 to 2; “Urgent” uses retry 60 s and expire 3600 s. The delivery log keeps only a fingerprint of the key.
