Volume
Volume, average and relative volume. Takes the volume of a candle and provides the N-candle average (SMA) and the relative volume: 2.0 means twice the usual volume.
Inputs and outputs
Section titled “Inputs and outputs”Only matching types connect: number series to number series (round pin), signal to signal (square), message to message (diamond).
| Direction | Pin | Type | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Input | Volume in |
Number series | required |
| Output | Volume volume |
Number series | in the unit of the input |
| Output | Average average |
Number series | – |
| Output | Relative relative |

Settings
Section titled “Settings”The settings appear on the right under “Properties” once the node is selected on the board. Those marked “More” appear after clicking “More”.
| Setting | Default | Allowed | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|

Example
Section titled “Example”Notifies you when a candle has more than twice the average volume of the last 20.
On the board it reads: 20-candle average
Chain as JSON
To try it, copy it and paste it in the editor under “Import”. Importing creates a new chain.

Section titled “Good to know”- In messages the values are called “Volume”, “avg volume 20”, “relative volume 20”.
- Warm-up with the default settings: 20 candles (this many extra candles are loaded by the replay before the value is reliable).
- Search also finds it under: volume, turnover, relative volume, average.
